September & October

Wow!  It is hard to imagine that we have been in school for over a month!  We have had so much fun and wonderful learning experiences!  Students have been learning about apples and how they grow.  We took a field trip to Wallingford's Apple Orchard. We picked apples, played, ate donuts and drank apple cider, and fed goats!  We also had a student's grandparents come in to help us with making homemade apple cider!  It was SO good, but a lot of hard work.  We learned how to stay safe in the event of a fire and who to call in the case of an emergency.  We are so thankful to our music teacher, Mr. Whitney, who is also a volunteer firefighter!  He brought his firefighter gear into school to show us a lot of the equipment that he uses to help put out fires.  Below you will see some of the pictures from our adventures so far...We have so many more wonderful and fun learning experiences planned for this year!  It is a joy and a pleasure to have your children in our classrooms!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Baltos & Mrs. Hansen
