Pumpkin Math

PToday we did some pumpkin math! We built towers to predict how many cubes tall we thought our pumpkin measured. The we tested our predictions!

Next we guessed how much string it would take to measure the circumference or around our pumpkin.

Last we predicted how many seeds were inside of our pumpkin.

Then we sorted the seeds into groups of ten to make the counting much easier for us.

There were 422 seeds inside of our pumpkin! Wow!

Tomorrow we will get to try cooked pumpkin seeds.
To end the day we took turns carving our pumpkin into a jack-o-lantern.  What fun pumpkin day we had today!
