Polar Unit

In January, we have been learning about polar animals.  We ended the unit with an exciting day will polar themed centers!  Students "ice fished" for numbers, hopped across the ice reading the popcorn words, built a den for a polar bear, made a polar bear and did a fun science experiment!  They got to learn how animals stay warm with blubber!  Also, we had a chance to feel a REAL whale bone!  Very Cool!
