We are excited for the school year to start! And we have an exciting year planned!
You and your family are invited to join us on Monday, August 29th at 5:30pm for our Kindergarten Open House. Students will have a chance to explore our classroom, meet new friends, and ride a school bus!
School starts Wednesday, August 31st! School begins a 8:40am, but students may begin to arrive anytime after 8:20am. We will be meeting students on the playground. If a child needs to eat breakfast, they have until 8:40 to eat the cafeteria. All students may have a free breakfast.
You may be asking, What do I need to send to school with my child? Well, we ask that you please send a backpack and a change of clothes. This is optional, but since we have computer lab once a week, students are encouraged to bring their own headphones. We will keep them in a safe place at school.
You may also send a snack or lunch for your child. The school does provide a healthy snack. However, there are items that students may purchase from the kitchen. Please send money in a baggie or envelop with your child's name on it, if they would like to purchase a snack. Items are typically 0.50$ All students have access to a free lunch!
We LOVE to share in Kindergarten. If you can send in the following items for our classroom use that would be wonderful. Please do not label items.
- A box of tissues
- A package of baby wipes
- 10 glue sticks
- 2 cans of playdough (5oz please)
- Dry erase markers
Also, your child will be getting a Martel Green Folder. This is our Home-School Communication Folder. It is important that you check this folder every night and return it every day. Thank you!
