3 Little Pig engineering design challenge

This week we read and practiced re-telling the story of the 3 Little Pigs.  Students were then given the challenge to build a house that passes the "wolf" test.  Students planned, designed, built, and tested their designs.  They learned that sometimes (or most of the time) plans do not always work out the way they thought, but they preserved and tried again!  I know I was proud of their accomplishments and we celebrated first (and second and third...) failures.  It is through the failures that students learned to try again.
